A new black-and-white image of James Mangold's "Logan" has arrived online. Accompanied by cryptic message "Silence," the image features Hugh Jackman's Wolverine sticking out his claws after likely killing an unidentified man in front of a suburban home.
Following the surfaced picture, the folks over ComicBook.com have speculated that the house could be Logan's hideout to protect both Laura Kinney/X-23 (Dafne Keen) and Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) from the enemies including The Reavers, which is led by Donald Pierce (Boyd Holbrook).
Fueling the speculation is a scene in the first trailer of the movie which shows Logan, Charles and Laura all sitting in what looks like the same house. Other scenes include when Charles and Laura are "in peril in what could also be this same house" as well as when Logan battles The Reavers "in a forest area that could be nearby" the particular house.
Additionally, the site suggests that [SPOILER ALERT!] Charles will die in the upcoming movie. As seen in the same trailer, Logan, who is covered in blood likely from an intense battle, and Laura stand in the same woodland setting presumably burying someone.
Directed by Mangold from a script written by Michael Green, "Logan" is set for a March 3, 2017 release in U.S. theaters. The third and final "Wolverine" movie is also supported by Stephen Merchant, who is set to play albino mutant Caliban and Richard E. Grant, who is on board to play the head of Transigen.
Set in the future of 2024, the movie follows Logan and Professor X who must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation led by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world leaving it to destruction, with Logan's healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier's Alzheimer's forcing him to forget. Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney.
