Lil Wayne Mocked on Twitter After Distancing Himself From Black Lives Matter Movement
Celebrity

The '6 Foot 7 Foot' rapper doesn't even seem to know what Black Lives Matter is and says that he doesn't feel connected to it, calling it 'a dumb a** s**t.'

AceShowbiz - Lil Wayne just shocked people with his comments on Black Lives Matter movement. In his interview on ABC's "Nightline" that aired on Tuesday, November 1, Linsey Davis asked him about his thoughts on social issues and the movement.

"What is it? What--what do you mean?" he asked back, seemingly not aware of Black Lives Matter movement. "That just sounds weird, I don't know, that you put a name on it," he responded, after Davis explained the movement. "It's not a name, it's not 'whatever, whatever,' it's somebody got shot by a policeman for a f**ked up reason."

Seemingly disagreeing that people need to be told that Black Lives Matter, he said, "I am a young black rich motherf**ker. If that don't let you know that America understand black motherf**kers matter these days, I don't know what it is." He then pointed to the camera and said, "That man white; he filmin' me. I'm a n***a."

"I don't know what you mean, man, don't come at me with that dumb a** s**t, ma'am," he continued, seemingly frustrated at the question. "My life matter... Especially to my b***hes."

When Davis asked him if he somehow felt connected to the issue, Wayne quickly replied, "I don't feel connected to a damn thing that ain't got nothin' to do with me. If you do, you crazy as s**t. Not the camera, you. Feeling connected to something that ain't got nothin' to do with you? If it ain't got nothin' to do with me, I ain't connected to it."

The interview didn't end well. In the full segment that aired on ABC, Wayne removed his mic and walked out of the interview as saying, "I ain't no f***in' politician."

Back in August, Wayne infuriated people with his similar remark about racism issues. He said on Fox Sports 1's "Undisputed" that there's "no such thing as racism."

Still, people can't help slamming the "Lollipop" hitmaker over his latest controversial opinions. "Lil Wayne took so many drugs, he forgot about his own tracks where he talks about how unjustly black people are treated in America," one Twitter user wrote.

One other Twitter user posted, "Lil Wayne really being blinded by his riches. If you didn't get your big break you coulda been 1 of these hashtags #blacklivesmatter Always." Another simply posted, "Lil Wayne is Cancelled."

"Lil Wayne been trash ever since he picked up a guitar and a skate board," read another tweet posted in response to the rapper's interview.

Some others mocked Wayne for his comments. "Idk what to say besides its Lil Wayne being Lil Wayne," one person wrote.
