A new 'A Monster Calls' promo has been released in honor of National Face Your Fears Day, inviting fans to 'discover a story for anyone who has felt love, faced lost and found courage.'

In honor of National Face Your Fears Day on Tuesday, October 11, Focus Features has released a new promo of Juan Antonio Bayona's "A Monster Calls" for fans' viewing pleasure. There is no dialog in the video, but it offers some never-before-seen footage as well as invites fans to "discover a story for anyone who has felt love, faced lost and found courage."
Based on the award-winning children's fantasy novel by Patrick Ness, the upcoming movie follows 12-year-old Conor (Lewis MacDougall) who attempts to deal with his mother's illness and the bullying of his classmates. He escapes into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, loss and faith.
In the upcoming movie, Felicity Jones and Sigourney Weaver star as Connor's mother and grandmother respectively. They are joined by the likes of Toby Kebbell, Geraldine Chaplin, Jennifer Lim, Lily-Rose Aslandogdu, James Melville, Joe Curtis, Max Gabbay and Oliver Steer in the fantasy flick. Additionally, Liam Neeson provides the voice of the titular, tree-like monster.
"A Monster Calls" will have a limited release on December 23 before opening wide in U.S. theaters on January 6, 2017.
