AceShowbiz - The CW has released a new promo for the eighth and final season of "The Vampire Diaries", showing Damon's tie to "Fifty Shades of Grey". Yes, you read it right. The show includes a reference to E. L. James' BDSM novel as the older Salvatore brother is seen reading the book when he's taking a break from a killing spree.
The trailer also highlights Stefan and Bonnie's efforts to find and rescue Damon and Enzo. "You can't save me," Damon tells his brother. Meanwhile, Damon's partner-in-crime Enzo is apparently getting sick of what they're doing. "When does this end? How many more bodies until you're full," he asks Damon.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 premieres Friday, October 21 at 8 P.M. ET on The CW. Michael Trevino is set to reprise his role as Tyler Lockwood. CW President Mark Pedowitz also said in August that there were discussions with Nina Dobrev to have her returning as Elena, but it has not been confirmed yet.
