'Ash vs. Evil Dead' Gets Season 3 Renewal
TV

Fresh off its second season premiere last weekend, the Ash William saga is confirmed to continue next fall with another 10-episode season.

Sam Raimi's "Ash vs. Evil Dead" has officially been renewed by Starz for a third season. The news comes after the show's New York Comic-Con panel at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The new season is expected to kick off the first of 10 episodes in fall next year.

Based on Raimi's "Evil Dead" movie franchise, the series serves as a sequel to the original big-screen trilogy. Bruce Campbell reprises his role as the main hero, Ash Williams, who reluctantly resumes his old chainsaw-wielding persona to fight Deadites again.

While the show is only on its second season now, Campbell has expressed his desire to do three more. "I'll take five seasons of this," he recently said. "Give the fans a big boost of the material; they'll have 25 fresh hours of the show after this, after we're done [with five seasons], and that's like making 12 movies!"
