John Legend has premiered his new single "Love Me Now" off his forthcoming album "Darkness and Light". The 37-year-old singer performed his new song while playing piano by himself during his Facebook Live show on Thursday night, October 6.

Wearing a white tee, John performed the song at his home before answering some questions from his fans. A single "woo hoo" was heard at his final note off-camera, perhaps coming from his wife Chrissy Teigen.

According to the "All of Me" hitmaker, his new album is "coming out soon before the end of the year" and will feature a roll-call of collabs from Chance The Rapper, Blake Mills, Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes, Miguel and Kwasmi Washington. "The music is really, really, good," he gushed, "I think it's my best work yet."

John said he wrote a song for his daughter Luna called "Right by You". When asked if his album would speak about politics, he replied, "It's not really preachy. I don't like to preach too much in my songs. I preach in my tweets, and on Twitter."

John also released a lyric video for "Love Me Now".
