AceShowbiz - Angelina Jolie's extramarital affair is reportedly one of the reasons behind her split from Brad Pitt. According to Star magazine, the actress had been secretly seeing another man for months before she filed for divorce two weeks ago.
"Angie admitted to Brad she had fallen in love with another man. They had to hide their feelings, but they've been seeing each other on the sly whenever they could over the last six months," a source told the publication.
The source went on claiming that the man Jolie had an affair with "is a wealthy philanthropist" who's worth more than $1 billion, adding that "he champions many of the same humanitarian causes that Angie does. As such, they had crossed paths at numerous charitable and state events."
"He's ruggedly handsome and of Middle Eastern descent - though he was educated in England, at Oxford," the source continued describing the man, who is said to be in his mid 50s and whom the magazine refused to identify because he's still married. "That will pose a problem for Angie down the road should their relationship continue, because his wife refuses to grant him a divorce," the source added.
The magazine said that Jolie told Pitt about her relationship with the man before their infamous plane fight, during which Pitt reportedly got drunk and abused their oldest son Maddox. "At first Brad was stunned - and certainly blindsided - by Angie's confession. But then he got furious. It wasn't pretty," the source shared.
The Star report, however, turned out to be bogus. Gossip Cop has contacted a source close to the situation who tells the site that all the claims made by the magazine are "false." The site can confirm that there's no third party involved in the Brangelina divorce.
