The Millers realize how close the danger is as The Butcher is set to claim what is hers in the next episode of the FX anthology series.

The Butcher isn't one you should take lightly, but the Millers clearly had no idea yet in the latest episode of "American Horror Story: Roanoke". [SPOILER ALERT!] After making and breaking a deal with Kathy Bates' character, the couple set in a motion a chain of disastrous events.

Shelby was attacked by the Piggy Man, but Dr. Elias Cunningham came out of nowhere and saved her. Elias claimed he was "important to [them] for [their] survival." He revealed the history of the paranormal activity of the house to the Millers and that Bates' Thomasyn White was responsible for them.

Elias led the Millers to find Flora in the woods, but he ended up being shot by several arrows. Running home, the Millers encountered Cricket. Cricket headed back into the woods and encountered Lady GaGa's witch character, who showed him what really happened to the lost colony of Roanoke.

In the house, Matt discovered the witch in the storm cellar. She revealed her backstory through "the most intimate connection" he'd ever experienced, but before it finished he heard Shelby screaming. Thomasyn's mob surrounded the house with Flora in their possession but Priscilla helped to free her. But Thomasyn still had Cricket and Ambrose disemboweled him. "Her message was clear," Matt said. "We were next."

In the next episode, Matt and Shelby realize there's no way out of this and that Thomasyn's mob is coming for them. Recounting the horror that's coming next, present-day Shelby (Lily Rabe) calls them "monsters" and says it was "inhumane."

The new episode airs Wednesday, October 12 at 10 P.M. on FX.

"AHS: Roanoke" is close to revealing a big twist as co-creator Ryan Murphy recently told EW, "You'll see starting in episode 6, the show has a huge turn and the thing that you think you're watching is not what you're watching." Co-creator Brad Falchuk added, "No matter what you think it is, it's not that. Then, episode 6 comes and you're like, 'Wait! What happened?' "
