'SNL' Finds Its New Donald Trump in Alec Baldwin After Taran Killam's Exit

The 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation' actor channels his inner Donald Trump on 'Saturday Night Live' to recreate the first presidential debate.

AceShowbiz - %cAlec Baldwin% has been tapped to play %cDonald Trump% on the upcoming new season of "Saturday Night Live". The former "30 Rock" actor is booked after %cTaran Killam% who usually impersonated the GOP presidential candidate left the show.

Baldwin will make his debut as the Republican politician during the premiere episode of "SNL" season 42 on October 1. Fresh off the first U.S. presidential debate, it's only fitting that Baldwin's Trump faces off %cHillary Clinton% who will be played by %cKate McKinnon% again.

The season opener will be hosted by first-timer %cMargot Robbie% with %cThe Weeknd% as a musical guest. The second episode will mark %cLin-Manuel Miranda%'s debut as an "SNL" emcee and %cTwenty One Pilots%' first time as a performer on the variety show.
