AceShowbiz - There's no smoke without fire. Following numerous rumors after troubles in their marriage, %cAngelina Jolie% and %cBrad Pitt% are calling it quits. An attorney for Jolie-Pitt, Robert Offer, said on Tuesday, September 20 that the actress had filed for divorce from her husband of two years, "for the health of the family."
Offer didn't provide other details about the divorce, but TMZ reports that the legal docs were filed on Monday. She allegedly cited irreconcilable differences and listed the date of separation as September 15, 2016.
Jolie is asking for physical custody of their 6 children, and asking the judge to give Pitt visitation. The pair have three biological children, 10-year-old Shiloh and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. She also has three adopted children, 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax and 11-year-old Zahara. She is not asking for spousal support.
Sources tell TMZ that the divorce has something to do with Pitt's parenting style. She was allegedly upset with his methods. Rumor has it, Jolie worries about the kids because of Pitt's consumption of weed and possibly alcohol, and mixed with what she believes is "an anger problem."
There's reportedly no third person that caused the end of their marriage, despite previous reports saying that Pitt got close with his "Allied" co-star %cMarion Cotillard%.
The divorce filing comes just four weeks after the pair celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Jolie and Pitt, who tied the knot on August 23, 2014 at their estate Chateau Miraval in Correns, France, reportedly spent the night at a five-star resort last month "to keep the love alive."
It's a second marriage for Pitt. He was previously married to %cJennifer Aniston% from 2000-2005. Jolie, meanwhile, previously tied the knot with %cJonny Lee Miller% and %cBilly Bob Thornton%.
