The 'Perfect Illusion' singer names her next studio installment after a woman of her past and plans to release it next month.

Lady GaGa announces the official title and release date of her new studio album. The Monster ringleader reveals them during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Radio's Beats 1. She calls it "Joanne" and will release it on October 21.
The album is almost done. It's "actually going to be done in the next 48 hours," the pop/jazz singer says. She is in the middle of finishing the final track with producer Mark Ronson. They are expected to "[spend] the last 48 hours meditating with it."
The album is very personal to GaGa. It's titled after her late aunt who died at the age of 19 from Lupus. "She is the woman of my past," the Mother Monster says. Joanne is also the singer's middle name. "There's definitely a bittersweetness to [finishing the album]," she says. "This isn't the end - just the end of this moment. It's also the beginning of this moment."
Besides working with Ronson, GaGa gets a helping hand from Florence Welch. The first single "Perfect Illusion" has just been released to give fans the first taste of what's to come.
