"So You Think You Can Dance" has crowned its youngest-ever winner. Leon "Kida" Burns, J.T. Church, Emma Hellenkamp and Tate McRae were the four finalists of the show's 13th season called "The Next Generation", and one of them took the champion title on Monday, September 12.

The season finale opened with a group number by all contestants of "The Next Generation" and the All-Stars. The judges and mentors then picked their favorite routines of the season. Jake Monreal, Jenna Johnson, Ruby Castro, Paul Karmiryan, Daniela Avanzini and Jonathan Platero also performed a new routine choreographed by Dmitry Chaplin and Jenya Shatilova.

The first result to be announced was the fourth-place winner. Emma took the title. After more dance encores, Tate was announced as the third-place winner. Judge Nigel Lythgoe shared his last advice for J.T. and Kida, saying they set the bar high for the next season.

Kida was eventually named the champion, meaning that J.T. finished in the second place. The 14-year-old took home the $250,000 prize and celebrated the win with his All-Star partner Du-Shaunt "Fik-Shun" Stegall.
