The CW has released a fresh trailer for "The Flash" season 3, giving another preview of the Flashpoint storyline. In the video, Barry (Grant Gustin) looks confused as he enters a coffee shop with his father (John Wesley Shipp) and asks what year it is.

Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is a mega-wealthy tech-genius version in this alternate reality and he doesn't recognize Barry at first. Iris (Candice Patton) doesn't really remember Barry. Fortunately, Barry's love interest Iris can sense that they're more than just friends.

There's also a glimpse of the returning villain Eobard Thawne a.k.a. Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher) and a new big bad, presumably Dr. Alchemy.

Another villain to be featured in the third season is Mirror Master, played by Grey Damon. A slippery criminal who uses the power of reflections to move around Central City, he can easily slip into a window pane and disappear in a hot second, making him pretty difficult to catch.

Executive producer Todd Helbing reveals that the TV version of the villain will not use the mirror gun. "He's a true meta, but he's not necessarily warping into other dimensions," he tells TVLine.

The new season of the DC superhero series debuts on October 4 at 8/9c on The CW.
