Lou was convicted of running a half-billion-dollar Ponzi scheme in 2008 and sentenced to 25 years in prison. The 62-year-old former record producer suffered a stroke in 2010 while incarcerated. Since then, his health continued to deteriorate. He passed away while still in custody at the Federal Correctional Institution in Texarkana, Texas.
