'Fantastic Beasts' Sequel Gets Release Date, J.K. Rowling and David Yates Will Return

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is still three months away, but the sequel has already got a green light from Warner Brothers. The second installment is officially announced to hit theaters on November 16, 2018 in the States.

J.K. Rowling and David Yates reunite for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2". The "Harry Potter" author who made her screenwriting debut with the first film is tasked with penning the script again while Yates will return behind the lens.

The story is still under wraps but it is expected to go deeper into the wizarding world's dark time and explore the feud between wizards and muggles that prompted the former to hide their existence as depicted in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone".
