Warner Bros. Pictures and director Rick Famuyiwa are apparently close to finding the female lead for "The Flash" movie. According to Variety, Kiersey Clemons, who previously starred in Famuyiwa's "Dope", is the director's top choice to star as Iris West, the leading lady in the Ezra Miller-starring superhero flick.

Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter later shared on his Twitter account that singer Rita Ora ("Fifty Shades of Grey") and Lucy Boynton ("Sing Street") were also among the contenders to play the journalist and love interest of Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash.

Famuyiwa replaced Seth Grahame-Smith, who dropped out of the project due to creative differences, as director for "The Flash" movie in June. Alex Gartner, Geoff Johns, Dan Mazer and Charles Roven produce the film. The superhero flick is set for a March 16, 2018 release in U.S. theaters.

Miller's The Flash, who already made his debut in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", is also set to appear in the upcoming "Justice League" alongside full roster of iconic DC heroes, including Ben Affleck's Batman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher's Cyborg, Henry Cavill's Superman and Jason Momoa's Aquaman.
