The 67-year-old fitness guru took to Facebook to deny claims that he's transitioning into a woman while offering condolences for the victims of Orlando mass shooting.

Richard Simmons has cleared things up. On Tuesday, June 14, the fitness guru took to Facebook to set the record straight on rumors that he's transitioning into a woman, saying that the media was wrong.
"Some tabloids have recently falsely reported that I am transitioning. In response, I feel compelled to set the record straight and refute these lies. Although I am not transitioning, I have and always will be supportive of those who are going through their journey," Richard said in a statement.
The 67-year-old star, who hasn't made a public appearance since 2014, also paid tribute to the victims of Orlando mass shooting and expressed solidarity with the LGBT community. "We should not lose focus on showing love, strength and compassion to all of the LGBT community during these tragic times. My broken heart and healing thoughts are with the people of Orlando and all other victims of prejudice, bigotry and hate," he continued.
The workout guru made headlines earlier this month after National Enquirer reported that he's transitioning into a woman named Fiona and planned to get breast implants and hormone therapy. The tabloid also presented pictures of the comedian dressing as a woman on a "girls" night out. However, his rep later denied the claims, saying, "He is not transitioning into a woman. He has decided to live quietly the last few years."
