Neil Patrick Harris goes bald for the summer. The 42-year-old actor debuted his newly-shaved hair when hitting the red carpet of the 70th annual Tony Awards which was held Sunday, June 12 at the Beacon Theatre, in New York City.

Attending the event with his husband David Burtka, he looked dapper in a classic, black tuxedo atop a white shirt. His partner, meanwhile, opted for a sparkling suit. The four-time Tony host and Tony winner was on hand to present Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical to Leslie Odom Jr. for "Hamilton".

Harris' new look certainly raised a big question. He's currently filming Netflix's "A Series of Unfortunate Events" on which he portrays Count Olaf. The role doesn't require him to go bald as Olaf has wild hair. However, since he has to wear a wig during the shooting, he might choose to go bald for a practical reason because it's summertime.

The "Gone Girl" star previously hid his shaved head with a hat when hanging out at New York's hot new bar Beetle House with Burtka and some friends a few days ago. Gia Farrell shared a pic from the occasion on her Instagram account.
