New details about Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama's split may have been revealed. According to In Touch, the couple broke up because there's a third party, and it's none other than the "Heart Attack" hitmaker's friend Nick Jonas.

Last week, Demi took to Instagram to announce her break-up with Wilmer. She wrote, "This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends. We will always be supportive of one another. Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years."

Despite what Demi had said, In Touch claimed that her and Wilmer's relationship crumbled after they fought over his alleged jealousy of Nick, whom Demi is touring with later this month. An insider told the tabloid, "[Valderrama] told her he thought she was in love with Nick. They would scream at each other and it sounded like the house was going to fall down."

Wilmer was reportedly livid after he found out text exchange between Demi and Nick. "Wilmer found texts from Demi begging Nick to talk to her and he blew up," the source added. The tabloid also alleged that Demi is now feuding with Jonas as well.

However, all of the stories are false. Gossip Cop has cleared things up, saying that the claims are not true. Another source told the site that "Wilmer and Nick get along great."
