Madonna Throws Shade at BET for Diss Over Her BBMA Tribute to Prince
Music

Madge posts a throwback picture of her wearing a jacket she said given to her by the late musician and name-drops the network in the caption.

AceShowbiz - BET saw that Madonna tribute to Prince during last week's Billboard Music Awards, and the singer saw the shady tweet they posted right after her performance. But she waited until this weekend to finally respond to the network, which promised a better tribute at the upcoming 2016 BET Awards.

Madge took to Twitter over the weekend to post a throwback picture of her wearing a jacket that she said was a gift from Prince. She blatantly called out BET in the caption, writing, "Wearing the jacket Prince gave me back in the day without permission from BET. lol! God Bless America."

Madonna went all purple as she sang a cover of "Nothing Compares 2 U" and brought out Stevie Wonder for "Purple Rain" during her set at the BBMAs. However, a lot of viewers gave her performance negative reviews, including BET which tweeted, "Yeah we saw that. Don't worry. We got you," in a promo for their BET Awards.

Defending herself against critics, Madonna recently told them to "Deal with It!" She added, "Anyone who wants to do a tribute to Prince is welcome to. Whatever your age Gender or skin Color. If you loved him and he inspired you then show it!!!! I love Prince 4 ever."
