George Clooney and his wife Amal reportedly had a "clash" while attending the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month. According to Star magazine, the couple had been "fighting all day," but they tried to act as if nothing happened.

The magazine said George and Amal didn't want anyone to know that there were some problems between them, so they tried to conceal it by showing affection for each other. Though George's displays of affection looked real, that was only a "performance."

"Once inside [the festival], it was obvious to everyone there that George and Amal had been fighting all day," an insider told the magazine. The magazine went on saying that the human rights lawyer had a "scowl" the whole time, and the couple "barely said a word to each other" during the afterparty for George's movie "Money Monster" at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc.

However, shortly after the story was published, Gossip Cop debunks it. The site clarifies that the report is inaccurate and completely untrue.

Most recently, the pair were spotted stepping out for a romantic dinner date at popular eatery Dal Bolognese in Rome on Saturday, May 28. The two looked radiant as they're all smiles while walking hand in hand.

Amal looked beautiful in a midi black dress which she teamed with pointed heels and silver earrings. Meanwhile, George opted for a dapper look wearing a gray blazer atop a matching shirt.
