Initially slated to air this fall, the farewell season of the long-running crime procedural series will debut in 2017.

AceShowbiz - Just days after announcing its 2016-2017 schedule, FOX has made several changes to its line-up. The network initially planned to air "Bones" final season this fall, but now has bumped the long-running crime procedural series to midseason.

Baseball drama "Pitch" will now air on "Bones" original slot on Thursdays at 9 P.M. in the fall. The farewell season of "Bones" will take over the slot in midseason, likely starting in January. It, thus, bumps "Prison Break" revival to Tuesdays at 9 P.M. in the spring, which was originally occupied by "Pitch".

FOX may use the World Series to help boost "Pitch", making the freshman drama a better fit for the network's fall line-up. The rest of the schedule remains intact as of now.
