Justin Bieber chopped off his dreadlocks recently and that might be because of criticisms he received. There's also a speculation that the "Sorry" singer decided to cut off his dreadlocks for Selena Gomez, who said that she loved a "clean-cut" guy.

A source close to the "What Do You Mean" singer revealed to HollywoodLife.com that the "Hands to Myself" hitmaker managed to convince him to go back to his usual hair style. "As far as Justin's hair being pretty much back to his natural color, that was Selena's suggestion," the source shared. "She had been telling him from the get go that bleaching his hair over and over again would ultimately damage it and break the ends off."

The source went on saying that the 23-year-old songstress thought Justin looked more handsome with shorter hair, so she suggested him to cut off his dreadlocks. "Selena wasn't a big fan of his dreadlocks either. She thinks he looks more handsome and stylish now with his shorter, clean-cut look," the source continued.

Justin debuted his dreadlocks at the iHeartRadio Awards last month and he had since faced backlashes from fans over his hair style. A few days later, he took to Twitter to fire back at critics, writing, "Dude, are you gonna do anything with your hair, or are you just going to leave it like that? Being weird is fun' if u r not weird I don't like you."
