Another star-studded trailer for The Lonely Island's "Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping" has been unveiled ahead of the film's premiere this summer. Landing online Wednesday, May 18, the new video shows Conner4Real's (Andy Samberg) other stupid antics amid his plummeting career.
"Out of four possible stars, Rolling Stone has given it the s**t emoji. So, mixed. Let's call it mixed reviews," he says at one point after finding out his latest album has flopped hard. He's later seen doing some magic tricks onstage and left naked in front of the crowd when one of the tricks goes wrong.
The trailer also features appearances from famous faces like Jimmy Fallon, who helps promote Conner's album on his late-night chat show, and Seal, who performs at a wedding proposal that gets ruined by a group of wolves.
"Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping" is co-directed by The Lonely Island's Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone based on the script they wrote along with Samberg. Also starring Sarah Silverman, Imogen Poots and Maya Rudolph among others, the comedy is slated to open in U.S. theaters on June 3 against "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows".
