It looks like "Scandal" has found a way to accommodate to Kerry Washington's second pregnancy. After news broke that the two-time Emmy-nominated actress is expecting her second child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha, ABC has cut the show's season 6 episode order from 22 to 16.

TVLine, which first reported the episode order cut, earlier said that the network was also considering to delay the show's return until midseason and air the 16-episode run without break. A rep for the ABC declined to comment, but the network is set to reveal its fall schedule in two weeks.

ABC did a similar thing when Washington was pregnant with her first child two years ago. At the time, the third season episode order was cut from 22 to 18.

Washington concealed her baby bump with her black dress which was loose on the tummy area when attending the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday, April 30, in Washington, D.C. Her rep refused to comment on the pregnancy news, telling The Times, "We don't comment on her personal life."

The actress also showed up at the 2016 Met Gala on Monday night. She walked the red carpet in a black sequined gown and lace gloves. When reporters congratulated her on her second pregnancy, the 39-year-old said, "Thank you!"
