Channing Tatum wants a father's grief to get translated into a movie. The actor is executive producing and may star in an adaptation of Matt Logelin's 2011 NY Times bestseller "Two Kisses for Maddy : A Memoir of Loss and Love".

The book, which originated from a blog, recounts the birth of Logelin's daughter Madeline in 2008. "Madeline decided to make her first appearance today," he wrote in post announcing Maddy's early arrival. Three days later, he wrote a heartbreaking news that Liz died after suffering from a pulmonary embolism while she walked down the hall of the NICU to see Maddy.

"Doctors and nurses rushed to help her. But nothing could be done to bring her back," Logelin wrote. "No one to blame. S**tty luck and a pulmonary embolism are what led us to the saddest, most horrific moment of my life." Liz was 30.

Logelin continued to blog about his struggle to raise Maddy alone and his feelings as a widower. His blog was later turned into a book, and now Tatum shows interest in making it as a feature film. "I'd of course be beyond flattered if the movie ever gets made and if he'd even consider taking on the role of me," Logelin told Us Weekly.

Apparently, the project is in preliminary stages. "We haven't met yet, but if this moves forward, I'm hoping that we'll be hanging out a lot, and if we do, I'm sure we'll become fast friends," Logelin said of Tatum who's also a father to a little girl.

Logeline is now dating "Bob's Burgers" writer Lizzie Molyneux but Liz continues to live in his memory. "I see so much of Liz in Maddy. Beyond the obvious physical resemblances, Maddy is thoughtful, caring and incredibly in tune with the emotions of those around her, just like her mom was. She's also strong, confident and unwilling to be treated differently simply because she's a little girl," he said.
