A representative for the Medical Examiner's Office said they were collecting the singer's medical records to complete the autopsy.

AceShowbiz - The coroner's office has released Prince's body to his family after completing a four-hour autopsy. Preliminary results indicated that there were no obvious signs of trauma to his body and nothing to back up a suicide.

Martha Weaver, a rep for the Medical Examiner's Office, said the autopsy was complete, but the final result could take weeks pending toxicology tests. They were also collecting the singer's medical records as well as family medical history to complete their investigation.

Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson said on Thursday, April 21 that Prince was discovered slumped in an elevator at his estate in Chanhassen, southwest of Minneapolis, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:07 A.M. local time. Prince was fully clothed and there were three acquaintances at the scene when the police arrived.

Prince was last seen by an acquaintance who dropped him off at the Paisley Park on Wednesday night around 8 P.M. after visiting a local Walgreens and waiting on a prescription. The singer reportedly had visited Walgreens four times before his death and had been treated for a Percocet OD in Moline, IL.

"There are so many rumors. I don't know if I can dispel all the rumors out there," Olson said. But the police promised to be "meticulous" in conducting the investigation. "We'll do a complete and thorough investigation, and it's better with this, for us to do it well than for us to do it fast," Olson told NBC News. "This is certainly a big event internationally and nationally and I can tell you that we are going to leave no stone unturned on this and make sure the public knows what happened."
