Following news of her casting on the Netflix series, Stroup has been spotted filming her scenes with Finn Jones who portrays Danny Rand in New York.

AceShowbiz - More photos from the set of "Marvel's Iron Fist" have surfaced following the first look at Finn Jones as Danny Rand. Making their way out via ComingSoon.net, the new pictures reveal Jessica Stroup's Joy Meachum.
They were filming their scenes in New York City on Tuesday, April 19. Looking stylish in a yellow blouse, printed coat and red pants, Joy seems to be not too pleased when she meets Danny, who wears ragged clothes as seen in the previously revealed photos.
"Iron First" follows Danny returning to New York City after he has been missing for years. He will fight against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Tom Pelphrey ("Banshee") has been added to the cast as Joy's brother Ward Meachum, which is a twist to the comic book version in which Ward is Joy's uncle. The siblings have helped build Rand Enterprises up into a conglomerate, but their future there is in jeopardy after Danny returns to claim his birthright.
David Wenham will star as Joy and Ward's father Harold Meachum, while Jessica Henwick will play Colleen Wing.
No release date is set just yet for the new series.
