"The Neon Demon" unleashes the first trailer. It gives a sneak peek at Elle Fanning as a young woman named Jesse who is trying to make a name for herself as a model in the fashion industry. "You know what my mother used to call me?" she says. "A dangerous girl."
The horror thriller film is directed by Nicolas Winding Refn ("Drive"). It follows Jesse, the aspiring model who moves to Los Angeles. Her youth and vitality are devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will take any means necessary to get what she has.
The movie is competing for the Palme d'Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Jena Malone, Abbey Lee, Bella Heathcote, Keanu Reeves and Christina Hendricks are among the cast ensemble.
