The comedienne tricks Lin-Manuel Miranda into thinking that he's invited to appear on 'Inside Amy Schumer' in a sketch of the Comedy Central series.

AceShowbiz - Following the success of Broadway show "Hamilton", it's no surprise that Amy Schumer wants to follow suit. In a sneak peek of "Inside Amy Schumer" season 4, the comedienne takes on the hit musical with the help of none other than Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote and starred in "Hamilton".

In the sketch, Miranda visits Schumer at a dance studio, thinking that she invited him to appear on her show. However, it's not like what he expected as Schumer makes use of the occasion to pitch her own hip hop musical about Betsy Ross, the historical figure who sewed together the first U.S. flag.

The "Trainwreck" actress acts out scenes as she spits out lyrics set to the tunes of Rihanna's "B***h Better Have My Money", Drake's "Hotline Bling" and Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" among others. "Insider Amy Schumer" producer and Schumer's sister Kim Caramele as well as Questlove also make appearances, but they fail to impress Miranda.

To Entertainment Weekly, Schumer and Caramele explained where the idea for the sketch came from. They said one day while they walked to work, Caramele started singing "I'm not throwing away my mop," (a play on the show's song "My Shot") and then the sketch "Betsy Ross" was born.

On Miranda's involvement, Caramele gushed, "He said yes and I thought he was kidding. He couldn't have been nicer and more game. He has so few hours free! I was so grateful he was there."

"Inside Amy Schumer" returns for its new season April 21 on Comedy Central.
