The 'Deadpool' actor and his actress wife are joined by Michael J. Fox, Mike Myers and Sandra Oh to honor Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively made a fine couple at The White House. The celebrity couple was among the guests at the state dinner hosted by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle to honor Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The "Deadpool" star ditched his skintight red suit for the special occasion, opting for a Burberry navy tux with a white bowtie. His beautiful wife effortlessly pulled off a Ralph & Russo silk robe with a plunging neckline, a high slit and cutout shoulders.

They were joined by other Canadian stars like Michael J. Fox, Mike Myers and Sandra Oh. "Our talented artists are a credit to Canada in the US & around the world. #StateDinner," Trudeau tweeted. Reynolds, meanwhile, wrote on his own account, "Fortunate to meet PM @JustinTrudeau at the White House, to explain my hilarious plan to 'take' Alaska."

During the gathering, President Obama poked fun at the guest of honor who shared the same first name with Justin Bieber, "Mr. Prime Minister, after today I think it's fair to say here in America you may well be the most popular Canadian named Justin."

Trudeau replied, "One of our most popular exports to the United States - and we need you stop teasing him - has been another Justin. Now, you know, that kid has had a great year. Of course, leave it to a Canadian to reach international fame with a song called 'Sorry.' "

Performing at the formal event was Sara Bareilles. She delivered her empowering single "Brave" with the Children of the Gospel choir. "Loving my ladies from the Children of the Gospel choir. Love getting to share the stage with bright and fire-y young women who already sing me under the table. Yaaas," she wrote on Instagram.
