There's no denying that the only place for mothers to pump breast milk at the 2016 Academy Awards was in the bathroom. Charlotte Riley, the wife of Oscar-nominated actor Tom Hardy, was forced to go to a bathroom to do the activity because there's no nursing room at the Dolby Theatre.
The "Mad Max: Fury Road" actor was spotted hanging around in the lobby during the event and he looked so anxious. When asked if his nerves had something to do with his nomination, he said no. "I'm just waiting for my wife to finish breast-pumping in the bathroom," Hardy told LA Times. "She has to do it every hour."
An hour earlier, Hardy and Riley hit the red carpet of the Sunday, February 28 awards show where they posed for photographers and greeted some other A-listers. Riley looked so beautiful wearing a lace floor-length black dress with a plunging neckline which flaunted her cleavage. She paired the ensemble with an ethnic silver clutch and red lips. Meanwhile, Hardy opted for a dapper look, rocking a black suit atop a white shirt and a black bow tie complete with aviator sunglasses.
The British actor was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in "The Revenant", but he lost the award to Mark Rylance. The "Bridge of Spies" actor also defeated Christian Bale ("The Big Short"), Mark Ruffalo ("Spotlight") and Sylvester Stallone ("Creed").
