Heidi Montag's mother, Darlene Egelhoff, apologizes for publicly declaring that she was against her daughter's decision to undergo plastic surgery. In a sneak peek at the premiere episode of Lifetime's "The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition" that makes its way out via E! News, Darlene breaks down in tears as she says that she regrets her decision.

Heidi confesses that she feels like her mom sold her out, and the show's psychologist, Dr. Debbie, asks her mom how she feels about that. "I was just desperate to communicate with her in any way and I just thought that was the only way I could do it. I would do anything to be able to take that back," Darlene tearfully answers.

Heidi goes on saying that her mother broke her heart when she actually needed her. Darlene then tries to explain her feelings and what actually happened, "I'm just. I'm just so sorry. And I don't want you to be responsible for my feelings. This is a good healthy pain that I'm feeling and this is part of the process because we haven't addressed this."
