Selena Gomez made a surprise appearance at a Christian rock concert recently held in Los Angeles. The former Disney darling performed her song "Nobody" as she joined Young & Free, a Christian band and youth movement from Sydney, Australia's Hillsong Church, during their show at Belasco Theatre.
Her performance was captured in videos taken and shared online by fans in the crowd. "Tonight is more than a concert. It's more than Hillsong. It's more than me coming on stage and singing a song for you. It's about a relationship that is greater than anything," the 23-year-old told the audience before launching into the song, as seen in a clip below.
"Nobody" is a track from the deluxe edition of Selena's latest album, "Revival". She said in a Twitter exchange with a fan a few months ago that "God" was the one who inspired her to write the song. " 'Nobody' is about Him," she added.
This isn't Selena's first time to have been involved with Hillsong. Long before her "Nobody" performance, she and her ex Justin Bieber used to attend church services like Bible study together.
