The pregnant wife of John Legend says her husband 'deserves a little girl' and 'would be the best father' to their daughter.

AceShowbiz - Pregnant Chrissy Teigen talked about the in vitro fertilization treatment she underwent. Speaking to PEOPLE, the "Lip Sync Battle" co-host revealed that it was she who decided whether to have a baby girl or baby boy with husband John Legend.
"I've made this decision," the 30-year-old mom-to-be opened up in the interview while promoting her new cookbook Cravings. "Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, 'Let's put in the girl.' "
"I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me," she explained. "It excited me to see ... just the thought of seeing him with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond."
Teigen has already got a sneak peek at Legend's paternal side through the way he interacted with their dogs, "Putty our bulldog was John's first dog ever. He never suspected he could love something like that ever, so it's so funny seeing him interact with them and knowing that's the way he's going to speak to our kid."
"John's very big on full sentences and not doing baby talk. Even when he's talking to the dog he's like, 'Putty, you need to go outside and use the restroom today.' And I'm like, 'What the f*ck, it's a dog! You're crazy!' "
She went on, "I'm excited to see what he is going to do because I think we'll have two very different styles. I'm excited to see that part of John; We've been together so long, and sometimes we look at each other and we're like, 'I know everything about you and you know everything about me,' but we have no idea what we're going to be like as parents. I think it'll be really fun. I'm excited."
Teigen's statement about picking a gender for her baby apparently sparked a debate on Twitter as a fan tweeted, "Did you choose the hair and the eye color too @chrissyteigen ... smh messing with the natural blessings from God. I liked you a lot ..." Teigen was quick to point out that infertility was not a blessing as she sarcastically replied, "My natural blessing from god was infertility."
She added, "What year is this!? And for the record, I am always happy and open to speak on infertility. The more casual, the better! I don't mind." She also wrote, "Anyhow I am not mad at anyone's beliefs but I don't really actively seek out people to make them feel bad about their decisions either."
Meanwhile, the model hinted in her interview that she would like to have a son someday. "A boy will come along. We'll get there too, so it's not like we really have to pick. But he definitely is very lucky to have a little girl. And this girl is going to be so completely lucky to have John as her papa - it's crazy!" she said.
