AceShowbiz - Dr. Luke's lawyers are slamming Kesha, formerly Ke$ha, claiming she's a liar and extortionist who got exposed by a judge who figured out the truth, according to TMZ. Luke's lawyers have both positive and negative things to say about Kesha after an NYC judge shut her down in her attempt to get out of her Sony contract.
The lawyers of Luke want Kesha to know that she has always been "free" to record with him or other Sony producers. According to Luke's legal team, they have already invested $11M and are "committed to continuing to promote her work."
Luke's lawyers, however, slam Kesha for engaging in "trial by Twitter," engaging in an unsupported, "vicious smear campaign to ruin Luke's reputation." According to the lawyers, Kesha's "outright lies" were designed "to extort a contract renegotiation and money."
Kesha hasn't commented on the issue yet.
Previously, the "TiK ToK" songstress broke down in tears after being denied by the judge to have her record contract with Dr. Luke and Sony dismissed. "You're asking the court to decimate a contract that was heavily negotiated and typical for the industry," judge Shirley said, citing the lack of medical evidence related to the singer's assault allegations.
"My instinct is to do the commercially reasonable thing," the judge continued. "There has been no showing of irreparable harm. She's being given opportunity to record."
