AceShowbiz - Paramount Pictures has once again delayed the release of "The Ring" movie sequel, "Rings". Originally set for April 1, the horror flick is now scheduled to hit theaters across the nation on October 28, just in time for Halloween.

The studio has also announced a new release date for Richard Linklater's "Everybody Wants Some". Initially slated for April 15, the 1980s college baseball comedy will now open in limited release in the April 1 slot previously occupied by "Rings". Paramount will expand the movie on April 8 and again a week later.

"Rings" is directed by F. Javier Gutierrez based on script penned by Akiva Goldsman, David Loucka and Jacob Aaron Este. Guillermo del Toro serves as executive producer. Johnny Galecki, Matilda Lutz and Alex Roe will star in the film. It's opening in theaters against Lionsgate's untitled horror film and Sony's "Inferno".

As for "Everybody Wants Some", the movie marks Linklater's first title since 2014's "Boyhood" and is considered the follow-up to his breakthrough 1993 film "Dazed and Confused". "EWS" will get its world premiere at the SXSW next month.
