Barry Manilow was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, February 10 due to complications from emergency oral surgery he had on Monday. Representative for the "Copacabana" hitmaker revealed the shocking news on Facebook on Thursday, February 11.
"Following a triumphant sold out concert in Memphis, Barry Manilow was rushed back to Los Angeles due to complications from emergency oral surgery that Manilow had on Monday," the rep wrote, adding updates about Barry's concerts which was scheduled for tonight.
"Manilow's concerts in Highland Heights scheduled for tonight (Thursday, Feb 11) and Nashville (Feb 12) are being re-scheduled with new dates to be announced shortly. Ticket holders should retain their existing tickets for redemption on the night of the new date."
Barry is set to attend the Grammy Awards on Monday, February 15 as he is nominated for his 15th Grammy Award for his latest album, "My Dream Duets". But according to the rep, "at this time it is unclear" if the singer would be able to attend the awards show.
The "Can't Smile Without You" singer is currently on a tour called "One Last Time - One Last Tour" throughout North America and the U.K. He will go to the U.K. in June for concerts in Leeds, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and London.
