Lady GaGa is scheduled to take the stage at Saturday, January 23 ceremony of Producers Guild Awards. She will perform "Til It Happens to You" which is an Oscar-nominated track for Kirby Dick's documentary "The Hunting Ground".

GaGa wrote the song with Diane Warren who said it "was inspired by the countless survivors of abuse who need our support and love, so they know they're not alone." For GaGa, it hit closer to home. The singer revealed she was raped at the age of 19 by someone she trusted.

"Diane will tell you, it was really hard for me when [the song] came out," GaGa said in an interview. "I was really stressed out about it. Every time I listen to it, I cry. Every time I get a text about it, I always feel sick. It's like this thing you don't want to face. But because she wanted to face it with me, it reminded me of what the song is for."

The documentary itself will receive PGA's Stanley Kramer Award which is honored for films or individuals that raise awareness of pressing social issues.

"We admire and appreciate Lady GaGa's commitment as an outspoken advocate for those whose voices often go unheard," co-chairs Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd said. "In her activism, she truly embodies the spirit of Stanley Kramer, and we are doubly honored to have her join us in honoring 'The Hunting Ground' in his name."
