'Lady GaGa is quietly mourning David Bowie and will pay tribute to him at the Grammy Awards,' sources tell Page Six.

AceShowbiz - Organizers of the 2016 Grammy Awards are apparently planning a tribute to David Bowie at the upcoming ceremony and are considering none other than Lady GaGa to be part of it. Page Six was the first to report the news, though they couldn't specify how exactly the Mother Monster would be involved.

"Lady GaGa is quietly mourning David Bowie and will pay tribute to him at the Grammy Awards," sources told the publication. Another source close to GaGa added, "There's been discussions about a Bowie tribute, but nothing is confirmed yet."

Since she began working in the music industry years ago, GaGa has made no secret of her love and admiration for Bowie. She even talked about the British singer's influence on her music and image just days before his death earlier this month.

"[W]hen I fell in love with David Bowie, when I was living on the Lower East Side, I always felt that his glamour was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls," she shared. "He is a true, true artist and I don't know if I ever went, 'Oh, I'm going to be that way like this,' or if I arrived upon it slowly, realizing it was my calling and that's what drew me to him."

While it's still unknown how GaGa will supposedly honor Bowie at the Grammys next month, her Little Monsters already know that she has a project with Intel set to be unveiled during Grammy week at the "Next Generation of GRAMMY Moments" program.
