The photos tease the return of some cast members such as Marie Avgeropoulos, Ricky Whittle and Zach McGowan.

AceShowbiz - The CW has released the first photos of "The 100" season 3 premiere. The photos give away some information about the characters that will return in the upcoming season while also teasing some moments that happen after the events in the season 2 finale.

One of the photos features Marie Avgeropoulos' Octavia helping Devon Bostick's Jasper, who is injured. There is also another picture that sees Eliza Taylor back as Clarke, sporting long red hair.

Meanwhile, the rest of the photos show the returns of Ricky Whittle as Lincoln, Zach McGowan as Roan, Paige Turco as Abby, Lindsey Morgan as Raven, Richard Harmon as Murphy and Jessica Harmon as Niylah. However, there are some newcomers who are not featured in the photos, Michael Beach's Pike, a "tough and charismatic member of the Ark," and Brenda Strong's Queen Nia of the Ice Nation.

In a recent interview with BuddyTV, Morgan explained how Raven would go through the third season. "I feel in Season 3, we're going to have a chance to see what losing Finn really meant to Raven, what killing all those Grounders in Season 1 felt like to Raven, what losing Clarke now feels to Raven," Morgan explained. "And who she is now - losing her leg, being with Wick. There's so many changes in her world. I wouldn't say a new Raven, but a changed Raven as any human naturally would be after going through what she went through."

Morgan also hinted that the next season would treat Raven in a different way. "Season 3 is going to test her in a different way than any other season has, so hopefully she'll stay strong," she teased.

"The 100" premieres its new season with "Wanheda: Part One" on January 21, 2016 at 9 P.M.
