Jennifer Garner and Patrick Dempsey are said to be "secretly dating." OK! magazine, which first broke the news, reported that the pair, who co-starred in 2010's film "Valentine's Day" as a couple, were recently "texting and Skyping" a lot with each other.

The magazine claimed that their relationship "started a few months back" when Jennifer supposedly asked Patrick "to meet for coffee." A so-called "insider" told the publication, "They've been friends for years. So when they both went through rough breakups at pretty much the same time, it was only natural for them to confide in each other."

The 43-year-old actress "was secretly wondering if that electricity was still there, and she was happy to discover right away that it was." The source even claimed, "As soon as they started talking, the spark was evident to both of them. Jen was relived - and excited."

The publication went on saying that the couple "followed up with a dinner date that ended up lasting a whole weekend." Regarding the recent photos of the actor holding hands with his estranged wife Jillian Fink, it's because he's "torn." Later on, the source concluded that Jennifer and Patrick's relationship "isn't a fling" and "they're falling in love."

Nevertheless, Gossip Cop quickly debunked the report as saying that the on-screen couple is not dating in real life. "A rep for Patrick even laughed when asked about the new cover story's nonsense allegations," wrote the website.
