AceShowbiz - A brand new car is surely the icing on the cake for Teresa Giudice who was just released from Danbury Federal Correctional Institution in Connecticut on Wednesday, December 23. The former star of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" got a new 2016 Lexus LX570 when she arrived home, a source confirmed to Entertainment Tonight.
The car came with a big red bow at the top of it. Of how Teresa's family could afford the car which cost $95,000, her lawyer James Leonard Jr. told the news outlet that "they make money." As previously reported, Teresa's husband Joe Giudice filed for bankruptcy in 2009. Nevertheless, the lawyer later admitted that he didn't know who bought the car as joking, "Maybe Santa Claus."
Meanwhile, Teresa received warm welcomes from her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga and her eldest daughter Gia Giudice following the prison stint. Melissa tweeted, "With Christmas comes miracles ...Welcome home." Gia, meanwhile, simply wrote on the social media, "Welcome back."
Teresa was released early from the prison after 11 months. She and her husband Joe Giudice pled guilty in March 2014 to multiple federal fraud charges including tax fraud, bankruptcy fraud, mail and wire fraud. Joe will begin his 3.5-year sentence in March 2016 at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey. Their sentences were staggered for their children' sake.
