AceShowbiz - Teresa Giudice is out from prison. The former star of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills", who was sentenced to 15 months in prison back in January, was released early from Danbury Federal Correctional Institution in Connecticut after just 11 months on early Wednesday, December 23.
Teresa's lawyer James J. Leonard, Jr. tells PEOPLE that following mandatory release paper work and procedures, the reality star was released from prison at 5:01 A.M. but she's still there as of 5:30 A.M. "She is free," James says.
A source tells the site that Teresa "is thrilled that she is finally going home." The source adds, "Prison was tough for her, but she made the best of it. She couldn't wait to get home to Joe and the girls from the minute she set foot in prison. She is so happy and grateful that she is able to be home with them, for Christmas, no less."
Teresa and her husband Joe Giudice pleaded guilty in March 2014 to multiple federal fraud charges including tax fraud, bankruptcy fraud and mail fraud. Joe will begin his 41-month sentence in March 2016 at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey. Their sentences were staggered for their children' sake.
