AceShowbiz - There's no better Christmas present for "Bridget Jones's" fans than new official photos of "Bridget Jones's Baby". Making their way out via Entertainment Weekly, these fresh looks at the upcoming installment of the romantic-comedy film franchise tease a love triangle between Renee Zellweger's title character, Colin Firth's Mark Darcy and new character Mark Qwant played by Patrick Dempsey.
In the upcoming movie, Jones is still single at 43 years old. "She's pregnant and is not sure who's the father. Is it her on-and-off again beau with the bad sweaters or a hot new billionaire named Mark Qwant," according to EW.

Firth dishes on the plotline, "There are various mysteries to be resolved. Who does she end up with? Whose baby is it? You can resolve one and make the other a question. Those are things which might not be revealed until very later on. I rather like it. It's not often you have something where you have the possibility of keeping a surprise."
Speaking of Darcy's relationship with Jones, Firth adds, "He's known her since she was a child and I don't think he loves her because there's a reason to. I just think he does. In fact there's a scene in this film where it says something along those lines, that it defies logic."

Dempsey, meanwhile, says his character is "astonished by her and is intrigued by her." Firth also talks about his character's new love rival, "He's a very different kind of rival. He's not somebody I've known since we were kids. He's an outsider and he threatens Mark Darcy in a very, very different way than Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) did."
