Is Nina Dobrev Desperately Trying to Land 'The Walking Dead' Role?
TV

The former 'The Vampire Diaries' actress is reported cozying up to the 'Walking Dead' star Norman Reedus in an attempt to get a part on the hit AMC series.

Nina Dobrev neither has joined the cast of "The Walking Dead" nor is trying to land a part on the AMC series. After she posted on Instagram a photo with Norman Reedus at the American Music Awards, the brunette beauty was reported eyeing a TV return by trying to get a role on the zombie-themed series.

Celeb Dirty Laundry claimed that Dobrev's move by cozying up to Reedus would make sense since he "is the guy that you should be impressing" to get the job. The gossip site added, "If Norman Reedus 'puts in a good word for you' or requests that the producers take you in to consideration for a part, you basically have the job in the bag."

However, Gossip Cop has debunked the story. The site reached out to Dobrev's representative who said that the report was "silly," and noted, "That site writes nonsense all the time."

Dobrev clearly isn't jobless since leaving "The Vampire Diaries". The actress has been cast in film "Arrivals", in which she will star opposite Asa Butterfield and Maisie Williams, and romantic comedy "Crash Pad" which began filming in Vancouver in fall 2015.
