New images from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" have landed online as the U.S. theatrical premiere of the much-anticipated movie is coming closer. The photos courtesy of PEOPLE reveal the character who is portrayed by Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd.

While not much is known about Lourd's character, the pictures show her rocking a double bun made famous by her mother in the previous flicks. Fisher herself, while reprising her role as Princess Leia, seems to ditch the iconic hairdo in this one.

Directed by J.J. Abrams, "The Force Awakens" is due December 18 in the U.S. Daisy Ridley and John Boyega are tapped to play new key characters, Adam Driver plays the new big baddie while Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill return as Han Solo and Luke Skywalker.
