Marvel Studios has released a new featurette which reveals that Black Panther will be a neutral party who will not pick a side in the upcoming movie.

Marvel Studios has just released a new featurette for its highly-anticipated superhero movie "Captain America: Civil War". The new featurette gives away some details about how Black Panther and Scarlett Witch fit into the movie's plot.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige shares some details about Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlett Witch, saying that in the upcoming film, the character will have a spectacular action. "Fun thing about Civil War is it's almost as many players as we've ever had in our film showing up together. So, Wanda Maximoff, for instance, who we saw struggle with her ability in 'Ultron'. We see exactly how powerful she is," Feige says.
Olsen adds that in "Civil War", her character will be able to control her own abilities. "She's more understanding of her skills and she's like quite a great emotional journal in this one," Olsen says.
Feige also explains in the video that there will be a neutral party amid the war, and it's Black Panther. "We wanted to have a third party, who wasn't even necessarily involved in that argument. And we keep talking about Black Panther," Feige says.
Black Panther himself, Chadwick Boseman, says that there's a mystery about the Wakandan prince. "He's a monarch and at the same time he's this superhero. But there's a certain mystery about the character," he says.
Director Anthony Russo has also confirmed that Black Panther would not pick a side in "Civil War". "Black Panther is, first of all, an amazing character," the director said during a live panel a CCXP in Brazil over the weekend. "We couldn't be more excited to bring him to the screen for the first time. He's very central to the story. He comes into the story early. What's great about Black Panther in."
"Civil War" will pick up where "Avengers: Age of Ultron" left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) will face off against Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.). The film also stars Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man and Don Cheadle as War Machine. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the superhero team-up movie will arrive in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2016.
