Trouble in paradise, literally! Justin Theroux said during a visit to "Live! with Kelly and Michael" that he nearly died on his romantic getaway to Bora Bora with Jennifer Aniston after their hush-hush wedding last summer.

He went scuba-diving with some friends and got an instructor that spoke little English. When the group went down "pretty deep," he noticed that his oxygen reached red level so he told the instructor about the issue but he was told to continue swimming.

The actor tried to enjoy the underwater scenery but after a second look to his tank, he realized that he was "really deep in the red." He recalled trying to communicate with the instructor again, "I was using every hand signal I could possibly figure out."

He was finally given an emergency respirator that sent "bubbles everywhere and water down my throat." He remembered "coughing and panicking." "It's not a great feeling," he said. "Your brain goes into a crazy place. ... 'Oh my God, this is some plot to kill me.' "

Theroux also wondered, "Why are we doing an emergency when Earth is right there?" "The Leftovers" star later learned that the instructor couldn't bring them back to the surface fast enough because they had swum far from the boat. He hasn't gone scuba-diving since the terrifying ordeal.
