While many have speculated that Black Manta will be the primary villain in "Aquaman", JoBlo suggested another possible villain for the movie. The site notes that Ocean Master a.k.a. Orm Marius or Curry will be the one who will antagonize the title hero (Jason Momoa).

According to the site's sources, Marius, Aquaman's half brother, will fight against the King of Atlantis in his first solo outing to win the throne of Atlantis. Thus, there will be a brother-vs-brother fight in the upcoming movie.

Though the script is in early development, the report also suggests that Mera will be a major "force to be reckoned with." Thus, she will not just be a Queen walking around in gowns and waiting on her man. Aside from Mera's role, Warner Bros is reportedly looking for a "non-white" actress to play the undersea queen. The site states that this is part of the studio's overall policy of diversity.

Based on DC comic books, "Aquaman" will focus on the sea-dwelling superhero as a reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis who is caught between land dwellers that are always polluting the globe and his own people who are ready to invade the surface. Directed by James Wann, the superhero movie is scheduled to be released stateside on July 27, 2018.
